The dark-haired beauty came to me because of a double cross, supposed to be nothing more than a Devil’s Pawn. My father, don of the Jersey City crime family, thought taking a daughter would right the wrongs of the Cassones.
I didn’t expect to fall in love with the youngest princess of a rival family, but no matter how forbidden, she is the light in my dark-hearted soul.
As a self-made billionaire, I usually get what I want, but this is no simple ask. No one wants to see a Roselli and Cassone together. As eldest, soon to be given the reins as Boss, I’m laying down the rules and taking charge.
Sophia Maria Cassone, that woman wrapped in an innocent smile with a body made for sin is going to be mine. I’m done playing games. Because all is fair in love and war.
A Devil’s Pawn is the explosive second book in the Jersey City Kings series by international bestselling author, Via Mari. It is a deliciously dark, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, mafia romance. You will love this trilogy where the passion is fiery, the loyalty is fierce, and the stakes are high. Each novel in this collection builds to the next and they are most enjoyably read from beginning to end with a guaranteed HEA in the final book.
